Training is key to proper installation of ductless mini split systems

I don’t have to tell you that technology is changing. As water rises all ships rise as well. Advanced “smart” technology has permeated most industries. HVAC is no exception. With that, the days of unprofessional rough necks fixing air conditioning systems is fading away. Increasingly the equipment installed to provide heating and cooling is becoming more technical and therefore we who work on and install this kind of equipment must also be trained to handle these systems. Contrary to what some people may think, the HVAC installation and repair business is the work of a skilled craftsman. Sure there are plenty of yayhoos out there but to do the job properly takes great attention to detail and keeping up with the latest equipment and technology.
Without proper training then it is doubtful that systems will be installed properly. Without proper installation ductless systems could either operate inefficiently, or cause premature failure or both. It is even possible for a system to “cool fine” after improper installation. Unbeknown to the customer their system will fail prematurely due to the installation crew not pulling a proper vacuum allowing non condensible to enter and shorten the life span.
