Five Year Comfort Guarantee
We guarantee the performance of our HVAC systems to ensure your total indoor comfort. The AC system will provide at the thermostat 75F indoor temperature on a 98F summer day minimum. The heating system will provide at the thermostat 72F indoor temperature on a 34F winter day. If our HVAC system fails to meet these standards, we will make whatever modifications are necessary, up to installing a new system if necessary.
9. COOLING PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Modern air conditioning systems are sized with a numbers of goals in mind such as energy efficiency, longevity of the equipment, dehumidification performance and certainly room temperature control/comfort. Unless there are specific Owner-requested performance benchmarks that are being asked for,
TEMPERATURE: Mission will always design AC systems using conventional industry accepted practices. Please make sure any particular "special request" is written and signed by both parties should your expectations be outside standard design conditions for our region. The general design condition is 75 degrees indoors target temperature on a a 98 degree or below day.
HUMIDITY: Average comfort is 75 Degree temperature with 50% relative humidity. Air conditioners are dehumidifiers. Indoor humidity level is effected by multiple variables including outdoor air infiltration & weather as well as indoor appliances, hvac, showers etc etc. Inverter and Two stage systems will improve dehumidication process when running but are targeted to hit set temperature. Many inverter and two stage hvac equipment can be set into "dehumidication overshoot" where they will continue to cool in low stage. In this case they will run past their target temperature in order to pull more moisture from the air. This does not however guarantee a specific humidity level will be hit at all times. The most reliable way to dial in a precise humidity setting is to install a separate dedicated dehumidification system.
