Over easter weekend our family took a little drive out 225 to the San Jacinto monument and to see Battleship Texas. Most people think of the east side of Houston as this ugly place. I think its great. It gives you some perspective for how important the energy industry is to our economy. Miles of pipeline and vast storage tanks ready to supply the country with refined fuel. Pretty amazing.
While we were there we strolled up to the San Jacinto memorial which is impressively large and then walked across the reflecting pool to see battleship texas. As we were walking the ship I happened upon these two HVAC systems being used to cool down sections of the ship. Clearly not vintage WWI units.
There is one York and one Trane condensing unit. We were not given access to see where the air handlers to see the indoor equipment. The Trane system is clearly a newer XB series unit (still had signs of packaging) while the York system is much older.
